A few weeks ago, I held an open shoot for my Perfectly Undone Campaign. I had 26 young women come out to take a stand against society’s definition of beauty and the pressure that gets placed on us to wear our hair and makeup a certain way to “be” beautiful. These girls have no makeup and their natural hair. It takes a lot for some girls to be seen as they truly are – not because they aren’t beautiful – they are absolutely gorgeous – but because our society has told them that to be seen as such, you need these products, do your eyebrows this way, wear those clothes, style yourself this way – and there really isn’t much of a voice or influence telling them otherwise.
So here we are! We are the new voice – setting an example and showing girls that while there is nothing wrong with makeup and styling your hair, it is unnecessary to be truly beautiful. You are always more than the media tells you. More than society says you are. Always More than you think. You are enough. You are worthy. You are beautiful. Exactly as you are. We’re creating a community of girls who are lifting each other up, embracing our true selves and loving one another. Take a stand. Raise your voice. Make a difference. Be an atmosphere changer. You matter.
You are Always More ❤
